What is time? Time is a measurement of the way that things have happened in the past, the present and the future.

Sundials help to keep track of the passing of time.

Time is one of the hardest things to explain. Many people say it is the fourth dimension, the other three being height, width and depth.

Because time is so important, people try to measure it in some way. The most obvious way is to measure it in relation to the way the Earth turns.
