What is to stretch? To stretch is to pull a material to make it bigger.

A bandage that stretches.

You can stretch many materials. If they are elastic, when you stop pulling they will go back to their original size. Otherwise, when you pull them they will stay longer (and probably thinner) after you have stretched them.
