Isaiah was a prophet whose story is told in the Biblical Book of Isaiah. He lived in the Kingdom of Judea around the 8th century BC.

This book was probably not all written at the same time. The first half of the book is the historical story of the prophet, with bits written a hundred years later. The second half of the book was written around the time of the exile of the Jews in Babylon, about two centuries after Isaiah died.
