Asia is the world's largest continent and has the world's two largest countries by population – China and India.
Asia connects to Europe at the Black Sea.
Asia is so big that it is home to many different cultures and many religions. It was also where the world's oldest religions began.
The world's largest mountain chain runs across the middle of the continent – the Himalayas. On the eastern side of the continent is a line of volcanoes. Several of these volcanoes have made islands on which many people live: Japan, the Philippines and Indonesia are all countries on volcanic islands.
