What is Asia? Asia is the largest continent in the world. It joins to Europe at the Black Sea.

A map showing all of the different countries that make up Asia.

Asia is the world's largest continent and has the world's two largest countries by population – China and India.

Asia connects to Europe at the Black Sea.

Asia is so big that it is home to many different cultures and many religions. It was also where the world's oldest religions began.

The world's largest mountain chain runs across the middle of the continent – the Himalayas. On the eastern side of the continent is a line of volcanoes.
