dark matter Matter that does not shine or reflect light.
galaxy A system of stars and interstellar matter within the Universe.
mass The amount of matter in an object. matter Anything that exists in
physical form.
milky Way The spiral galaxy in which our star and Solar System are situated.
reflect To bounce back any light that falls on a surface.
spiral galaxy A galaxy that has a core of stars at the center of long curved arms made of even more stars arranged in a spiral shape.
star A large ball of gases that radiates light. The star nearest the Earth is the Sun.
Universe The entirety of everything there is; the cosmos.
